All students must be age 18 years or over.
All courses are presented in English and students should have a good knowledge of spoken and written English to attend VIP Service School courses.
Course fees are charged in Euros.
Under Spanish Law and operating as Autonomo (Self Employed), fees for training and education are not subject to IVA (VAT).
No booking can be confirmed until 50% deposit has been paid. If bookings are being paid within one week of the course date full payment must be made in order to confirm the booking. Course fees must be paid in full in order to participate on a course.
Course fees must be paid a minimum of 3 days prior to the date of the course. Fees may be paid in cash, by bank transfer or by PAYPAL using our online facility. Any course fees being paid by bank transfer should be actioned in sufficient time for the course fee to be seen as paid. If using a Spanish bank account this should be on the same day. If making an International transfer please allow sufficient time for the monies to be presented to VIP Service School’s bank account – normally three days but if your account is not in Euros, this may take longer. All bank charges for transfers are to the student’s account.
If course cancellation is made by the student and is done a minimum of 7 days prior to the course date a full refund will be made. If courses are cancelled by the student within 7 days of the course date no refund will be made. In this instance students may make an alternative booking for another course to the same value and taking place within a period of 12 months.
Should VIP Service School have to cancel a course for any reason, students are eligible for a full refund of their course fee or deposit or can book to attend another course to the same value taking place within a period of 12 months.
Course fees will be refunded according to the above policies and will be actioned within 3 days of the cancellation be either party. Any course fees for courses not taken within 12 months will not be refundable.
All students booking with VIP Service School are expected to complete a Student Registration Form and provide the school with a copy of a valid passport prior to attendance. In addition, there will be a class attendance registration form to be signed on each day of teaching.
Any students who are attending advanced courses for recognition by PYA and GUEST and where previous experience is a pre-requisite for the course, may be asked to provide proof of experience and submit a copy of their cv and references before being allowed to participate.
Any student wishing to make a complaint should do so on the same day as the complaint arises. If the complaint cannot be resolved immediately VIP Service School has a complaint register where any student may officially enter their complaint in writing or alternatively should make a written complaint and send to the school for a full investigation and inclusion in our Q&A records. We will endeavor to resolve any issues that may arise and will document all actions made during the procedure.
Any complaints arising during a course accredited by a third party accreditation body will be reported to that body immediately. Any resulting actions will be documented and follow up will be made to assure that the issue has been addressed.
A numbered certificate of competency will be issued for all courses and a numbered certificate of attendance will be issued for all workshops undertaken at VIP Service School. A register of all certificates issued will be kept. Certification for courses will only be issued at the satisfactory completion of the course and on achievement of a pass for any practical assessment. All workshop participants will receive a certificate. Certificates issued by VIP Service School will be issued on the day of the course where possible; if not these will be sent to students in PDF form and the original will be available for students to collect.
Any accreditation by a third party may require a written and practical assessment. These assessments may be marked by the accrediting body therefore confirmation of a pass or fail will not be immediate. Certificates being issued by a third party, accrediting body will require time for receipt, processing and return to VIP Service School. Highfield Qualification certificates for the Food Hygiene in Catering Level 2 may take as long as 4 weeks to receive.
Certificates for any courses within the Guest Program and Accredited by the PYA will be issued by VIP Service School showing the valid Sea ID Token for validation of the certification.
Certificates are to be collected from VIP Service School by the student. If this is not possible, by arrangement the original certificate can be forwarded by mail/courier service at a cost to the student. Any cost will be advised in advance. Any uncollected certificates will be held by VIP Service School for a period of five years, thereafter they will be destroyed.
Where certificates are awarded by an outside accrediting body VIP Service School will include the cost of the certificate in the course fee. Any cost for a duplicate or replacement certificate from an accrediting body or VIP Service School, and the postage will be paid by the student.
All training manuals, materials, handouts and course content are the property of VIP Service School unless that issued by an accrediting body and used as part of the training , At no time should these be copied, loaned or given to a third party without the written consent of VIP Service School or the accrediting body.
Any personal information given to VIP Service School as part of the booking, registration, payment, certification or evaluation and feedback process will be treated with the strictest of confidence. At no time will VIP Service School forward any personal details, information or contact details of any student to any third party other than the certification accrediting bodies for the purposes of issuing the certificate.
All physical personal information provided to VIP Service School will be kept under lock and key and only accessed by valid employees of the school. Personal information and data will be retained for a period of three years, thereafter will be destroyed.
All attempts will be made to protect any information sent electronically by email or by use of social media messaging however VIP Service School will not be held responsible for any disclosure of personal details or data infringements by way of hacking or cyber- attack and information sent by internet is sent at the students own risk.
VIP Service School has full public liability insurance however we are not responsible for any irresponsibility or negligent behaviour of a student which leads to damage or loss of school property. In this instance the student will be held responsible for the replacement or repair of such property. VIP Service School does not accept responsibility for any loss or damage to student personal property.
