The Level 2 Powerboat Handling course provides you with the skills and background knowledge required to drive a powerboat, open boat, RIB or sports boat. This course is for recreational boating and for the professional mariner, providing the ‘yacht tender driving licence’. The Powerboat level 2 certificate can be commercially endorsed to provide an RYA/MCA licence and is a requirement for many people working within the yachting industry.
Cost includes a course handbook and photo card licence.
What the course covers
Your training will cover the complete syllabus to include boat handling in close quarters, high and low speed manoeuvres, berthing, man overboard recovery and collision regulations.
The RYA guidelines for the Level 2 course are at least 80% of the time to be on the water. Aigua Sea School offer that, and more, using the break times to cover theory in a thorough, yet relaxed, manner in order to maximise the amount of time onboard.
